Query: Hi Amitoj,

I'm a salaried person with a pvt. ltd. company with a gross monthly pay around Rs.35,000.

I would like to know if there's any way to get my CREDIT SCORE / CREDIT REPORT from CIBIL. I have 4 credit cards and I pay all my monthly dues BEFORE the payment due date IN FULL.

I applied for the aforesaid cards when I lived IN MY NATIVE CITY ( I mean within the CITY LIMITS), in a rented apartment.

I then moved to my own house just outside the city limits and accordingly got all my records updated with my credit card relationship banks.

When I applied for Kotak & ICICI cards, they got declined and I got the reply from one of them saying that my details did not meet the bank norms. I called up the customer care dept of them and asked them for the reason. They simply said it might've been because of my bad/lower credit score.

How could it be when I am PROMPT with all my payments.

Might it be because of my residence falling out of city limits?
If so, does the banks feel that all the clients/prospects outside the city limits are NOT WORTHY/FRAUDULENT/DELINQUENT? They have all my records available at their disposal for god's sake!!! Are all the customers WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS PROMPT/GENUINE & all others just trash? I don't understand the issue . Kindly help / clarify me in this regard.

Thanks in advance.

Dear

As per Cibil Press model, a customer can check there Cibil Score by paying Rs.100 as a charge but this activity will be live in the month of November.

At this point of time,i would suggest you not to apply for a new card. You should wait for a while.

Secondly, your application of Kotak or ICICI card might got rejected because of your City.

Please revert with any clarifications on the above answer.
