Query : i have housing loan for an amount of rs.900000/-@11.5% interest and my emi is rs.10500. well. my request is that i urgently required rs.1000000/- more in order to pay of my debt which have been incurred to me soon after the purchase of my house by way of repirs, fittings,modifications,extentions,interriors etc.this amount i have arranged from private money lendors for which i am paying considerable amount as interest and the principal is still outstanding. unfortunately due to many reasons i couldnt come out from this till date.now i feel that it is foolishness since i have the option of top up my existing home loan.remember i am an nri working doha,qatar and my current montly gross salary is rs.50000/- . kindly advice.

Firstly you can approach your existing bankers and ask for a top-up option. Or reevaluate your property , which would have increased due to the modifications done. Then once you have done the revaluation, you could go to a new bank or lender and ask them to take over your existing loan at a lower interest.

dear sir; i had already approached my existing bank but the banker told me that they dont have top up option.well.in your message you have mentioned about revaluation of property.kindly clarify me the following doubts.1}how could i revaluate my property.2}another interesting thing i noticed is that most of the nationalised banks are ready to take over only with the amount outstanding in the existing bank and moreover they are not promoting takeover loans.what should i do in this situation.my need is genuine and urgent.kindly advise.thanking you

You can approach private banks where they will also help you in revaluating your property.You can approach banks like ICICI,HDFC etc
