Query : I recently needed a personal loan. I have applied to a bank and the representative told me that there is a problem with "sibil". I cant recall any default on my part to any bank. so how does my name appear in that sibil? and how should I know what is the problem and how should I clear my name from that sibil entry? It is not possible form me to rectify unless I know my mistake. Are there any ways to solve my problem? pl. help me.

Query : Sir,
I used to hold the credit card of HDFC and CITI BANK,due to some issue we went for settlement with each of these banks.
I had a full and final settlement letter from CITI BANK and an agreement letter from HDFC for the final amount settled.
Recently i applied for personal loan with ICICI and subsequently with CITI BANK,I was told that the status in the cibil is shown as WRITE OFF with each of these bank.
